Most of that is an HR thing. HR is supposed to be the glue that brings new people into departments. They contact IT to set you up with teams and email. They contact the quartermaster to get you uniforms and equipment. But HR is about something other than new hires. They are in the business of keeping you from destroying the company and don't care about you.
The other admins are lost because they must figure out who to contact.
HR and the planners. That's what I hear the most when I bring this up around other people. Those two or either of those two always manage to fuck it up for everyone else, including other admin staff!
I totally agree. Hate to say it, but... this is a very common occurance in today's "world". People doing their jobs "afgeraffeld" or better said sloppy and not thinking ahead of their game in a typical "niet verder kijken dan de neus lang is" (not looking futher than the length of the nose) way, indeed resulting in others having to fix the negligiance of their co-workers. And also that is utterly frustrating and time-consuming (dreadful even). It's like being in a game filled with npc's. It seemingly is the perfect example of the smartphone hypnosed era we're in now 🫤 Yeah, as much good as smartphones have brought - they've also been proven to be the perfect distraction to not get anything important done. My opinion though, I'll cut off my quest for adding to your great blog. Loved reading it.
