The Barbarian Spirit
and the need for a third place

I am writing this blog as a continuation on my article from yesterday “A man needs a purpose”. The purpose of men, the necessity of having a so called “third place” and the weakening of our sons is something that pops up more and more in the zeitgeist. Especially in the more “right wing” political groups and the pagan community this is something that is being talked about more.
Last night I had Clay Martin on the Greyhorn Pagans Podcast. A former military man (Green Beret and Special Forces) and author of six books with his latest one being Barbarian Spirit. We spoke on these topics in depth and I will share the podcast here too.
I will write a dedicated blog post with my thoughts on the necessity of a “third place” and how I believe we should go on creating this again. But for now I feel it’s more important you hear it directly from someone as experienced in combat and the mystic side of combat as Clay and from a Germanic pagan and novice occultist such as myself.
